AdNixora

One server. Every screen. YouTube without the interruptions, on televisions that cannot run an ad blocker.

Overview

AdNixora is a self-hosted YouTube streaming and ad-blocking platform for your local network. Instead of installing and maintaining an ad blocker on every television, AdNixora uses a computer on your network as the central streaming server.

**Internet → AdNixora server → filtered stream → smart TVs and Android devices.** Your server handles the YouTube connection, the filtering and the stream processing, then delivers the result to supported devices throughout your local network.

The recommended configuration is **Debian 13**, which is the tested and preferred server platform. AdNixora also supports Linux, FreeBSD and Windows, with an Android APK for supported Android devices, Android TV systems and compatible streaming devices. It is designed for smart TVs, where browser extensions and ad blockers are not available at all.

One server can serve several televisions at once, each with its own independent session. Updates and management stay in one place, on hardware you control.

**Samsung smart TV support is available at an additional cost.** Samsung televisions need a separately compiled and signed application package built for the specific model and Tizen environment, so a Samsung installation begins with a short compatibility exchange — model number, model year, Tizen version where available, and any device information needed to verify compatibility. The television must be placed in Developer Mode to install the compiled application, and Developer Mode must remain available throughout deployment and testing. Deployment instructions are provided once the application has been compiled for your television.

The Samsung compilation fee is a flat additional charge covering preparation and compilation for the television information you supply. It does not include unlimited troubleshooting: Samsung models, Tizen versions, firmware revisions, networking environments and Developer Mode configurations differ, and if the application does not deploy or run correctly because of the television's configuration, firmware, Developer Mode, networking or Samsung platform restrictions, additional support may be billed separately. Any additional charges are agreed with you before extensive troubleshooting begins.

FAQ

Do I need an ad blocker on every television?

No — that is the point of it. The filtering happens on the server, where the page is actually rendered by a real blocker. The television only shows the result, so a smart TV that cannot run an extension still gets a clean picture.

Which server should I use?

Debian 13 is the recommended and tested platform. Linux generally, FreeBSD and Windows are also supported.

How many televisions can one server handle?

Several, each with its own independent session. The practical limit is the server's CPU and your network rather than the software.

Does it work on a Samsung TV?

Yes, but Samsung support costs extra and is not automatic. Samsung televisions need a separately compiled and signed package built for your specific model and Tizen environment, and the TV must be put into Developer Mode to install it. Tell us the model number, model year and Tizen version, and we will confirm compatibility before compiling.

What does the Samsung fee cover?

A flat charge for preparing and compiling the application for the television details you supply. It does not include unlimited troubleshooting — models, firmware, networking and Developer Mode configurations differ, and anything beyond the compilation is agreed with you in advance.

Is this affiliated with YouTube or Google?

No. AdNixora is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Samsung, or their affiliates. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
